REQUIRED Civil Case Information Sheet (EFFECTIVE 9/1/10)

The Texas Supreme Court has adopted Texas Rule of Civil Procedure Rule 78a [pdf] requiring that a case information sheet must accompany the filing of an original petition in a civil case and certain post-judgment motions under the Texas Family Code. The Supreme Court is accepting comments regarding Rule 78a on or before August 2, 2010. The Supreme Court has also adopted the civil case information sheet [pdf] (instructions [pdf]) approved by the Texas Judicial Council in April 2010, to be used pursuant to Rule 78a. The rule takes effect September 1, 2010, with any modifications made after public comments are received.  [05/10/2010]
